One Is Enough — Code of Conduct. Established to foster a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for all wrestlers, coaches, referees, and spectators in CAGWA. This policy ensures serious misconduct is addressed swiftly, preserving the integrity of the sport and the values of our league.
Policy Scope
Applies to all wrestlers, coaches, parents, and spectators associated with any CAGWA team. Violations result in immediate and serious consequences, including potential removal from the league.
Prohibited Behavior
- Physical Violence — any act of physical aggression toward another wrestler, coach, referee, or spectator.
- Verbal Abuse — offensive, derogatory, racial, or abusive language directed at any individual.
- Bullying or Harassment — bullying, intimidation, harassment, or discrimination (in person or online).
- Unsportsmanlike Conduct — cheating, intentionally harming others, or violating match rules.
- Substance Abuse — possession, use, or distribution of illegal substances, alcohol, tobacco, or drugs at any team event.
- Destruction of Property — intentional damage or vandalism of mats, equipment, facilities, or property.
Consequences
- Immediate Removal from the match, event, and venue — One Is Enough, no exceptions.
- Suspension or Expulsion — depending on severity, up to permanent expulsion from the team and/or league; the team may also be suspended. Expulsion means removal from the club for the season with no refund.
- League Review — all incidents are reviewed by the CAGWA Board of Directors and may be referred to USA Wrestling. Both parties may present their account.
- Reporting to Authorities — criminal or illegal activity may be reported to law enforcement.
Team Accountability
If a wrestler is expelled, their team is placed on probation for the remainder of the year, including League Finals. Teams are fully responsible for the conduct of everyone associated with their organization. Any violation by a parent or spectator may result in immediate removal and possible suspension.
